What to Bring to the AgLE 2026: 14 Things to Prepare Before Exam Day

The Agriculturists Licensure Examination may still be a few months or a few weeks away when you read this, but it is better to prepare your exam-day essentials early. Your final days before the examination are better spent reviewing than searching for your Notice of Admission, calculator, envelopes, pencils, or clothes.

The 2026 Agriculturists Licensure Examination is scheduled for December 1, 2, and 3. The Professional Regulation Commission has already published the examination program covering the schedule, materials to bring, prescribed attire, calculator rules, food instructions, prohibited items, and first-day reporting instructions.[1]

PRC also issued a nationwide advisory on October 2, 2026 that gives more specific guidance on transparent envelopes, water bottles, food containers, bags, and electronic devices.[2]

PRC instructions can still be updated before December 1. Check your Notice of Admission, room assignment, Regional Office announcements, and the latest PRC advisories again shortly before the examination.

1. Notice of Admission (NOA)

Your Notice of Admission should be number one on your checklist. The official AgLE 2026 program specifically lists the NOA among the materials examinees should bring. PRC also instructs examinees to read and follow the directions printed on it.[1]

Keep your NOA with your other important documents several days before the exam. Do not wait until the night before December 1 to start looking for it.

2. A Valid Government-Issued ID or School ID

Bring a valid government-issued ID or school ID as additional proof of identity. Examples of government-issued identification include a Driver's License, Philippine Passport, National ID, and other valid IDs issued by government agencies.

The main September 2026 AgLE update does not separately list an ID in its examination-materials section. However, PRC Regional Offices may publish additional testing-center instructions, and some licensure examination advisories have required examinees to present a government-issued ID.[6]

If you have both a government-issued photo ID and a current school ID, bringing the government-issued ID is the safer option. Check the specific AgLE room-assignment or Regional Office advisory once it becomes available

3. Your PRC Official Receipt

Keep your PRC Official Receipt with your examination documents. PRC's Room Assignment page includes the Official Receipt in its General Instructions to Examinees together with the Notice of Admission and other examination materials.[5]

Even if your NOA is already ready, keeping the Official Receipt with it gives you one less document to worry about if it is requested during verification.

A simple document set for exam day is your NOA, valid government-issued ID or school ID, and PRC Official Receipt kept together with your permitted examination materials.

4. One PRC-Allowed Non-Programmable Calculator

Do not assume that any scientific calculator is acceptable for the AgLE. The 2026 AgLE program allows non-programmable calculators and refers examinees to PRC Commission Resolution No. 1809 (s. 2024), which contains the applicable list of approved models.[1][4]

Only one calculator per examinee is permitted inside the examination room. Calculators are subject to inspection, and the AgLE program states that they will be reset before the examination.[1][4]

PRC also clarified in September 2026 that its allowable-calculator list is exclusive. A calculator is not automatically approved simply because it has similar features, specifications, appearance, or a similar model name.[3]

If you are buying a calculator for the AgLE, compare the complete model number before purchasing. Do not rely only on the brand name or how the calculator looks.

Non-programmable scientific calculator models listed by PRC

The models above come from the list attached to PRC Resolution No. 1809 (s. 2024).[4]

Which Calculators Should You Not Bring?

If your exact model is not included in the applicable PRC list, do not assume it is allowed. PRC's September 2026 advisory specifically says that the allowable list is exclusive.[3]

The AgLE 2026 program specifically prohibits programmable calculators or calculators with embedded functions and identifies the CASIO FX-991ES and CASIO FX-991ES Plus.[1]

Resolution No. 1809 also excludes the CASIO FX-570ES Plus.[4]

5. Two or More No. 2 Pencils

The official AgLE 2026 program requires two or more No. 2 pencils.[1]

Prepare your pencils ahead of time and consider bringing an extra beyond the minimum. Having several sharpened pencils is a simple precaution.

Recommended (Shopee):

6. Black-Ink Ballpens

PRC instructs AgLE examinees to bring ballpens with black ink only.[1]

Bring more than one black ballpen so you have a backup if one stops writing. PRC specifies the ink color but does not require a particular brand.

Recommended (Shopee):

7. One Metered-Stamped Window Mailing Envelope

The AgLE 2026 program includes one metered-stamped window mailing envelope among the required materials.[1] PRC's Room Assignment instructions also identify Agriculture among the professions for which the mailing-envelope requirement applies.[5]

This is a fairly specific item that many students may not normally keep at home, so prepare it ahead of examination week.

8. One Long Brown Envelope

The official AgLE document also lists one long brown envelope among the materials examinees should bring.[1]

The long brown envelope is separate from the metered-stamped mailing envelope and the transparent plastic examination envelope, so prepare these as separate items.

Recommended (Shopee):

Long Brown Envelop and Plastic Envelop: https://s.shopee.ph/1qca88TF5p

9. One Transparent Plastic Envelope

The transparent envelope requirement has caused some confusion among recent board-exam takers.

The official AgLE 2026 document requires one long transparent or plastic envelope for valuables and other permitted items.[1]

PRC then issued a more detailed nationwide advisory on October 2, 2026. Under that guidance, examinees may bring only one transparent plastic envelope for examination-related documents and materials. Most importantly, PRC expressly states that the envelope may be with or without a handle.[2]

The prescribed transparent envelope must not exceed 15 inches in length, 10 inches in width, and 1.5 inches in expanded depth.[2]

Recommended (Shopee):

A handle by itself does not make the prescribed transparent examination envelope prohibited. Under PRC's October 2, 2026 guidance, the permitted envelope may be with or without a handle.[2]

Why Was There Confusion About Envelopes With Handles?

Examinees from other 2026 licensure examinations had shared experiences online about transparent bags or handled containers being refused or left outside at some testing venues. These were individual reports rather than an official nationwide PRC rule.[7]

The newer PRC advisory clarifies the distinction. The permitted transparent plastic examination envelope may have a handle, while ordinary bags are generally prohibited.[2]

What About a Separate Bag for Food?

PRC provides a limited exception for food and other essential items. A transparent open-top hand-carry bag or tote may be allowed when food, drinks, and necessary personal items cannot reasonably fit inside the prescribed transparent envelope.[2]

The tote is subject to inspection and must not have a zipper, snap button, magnetic closure, drawstring, or another means of closing or securing it.[2]

10. Packed Lunch and Snacks in Transparent or Clear Containers

PRC instructs examinees to bring packed snacks and meals in transparent or clear containers or cellophanes.[1]

PRC also states that proctors or room watchers will not allow another person, including a food-delivery service, to give or distribute food to an examinee while the examination is in progress.[1]

Pack your food before leaving for the testing center. Do not plan your exam-day lunch around a delivery service.

What Food Should You Bring?

PRC does not prescribe a particular menu. Choose food you already know works well for you and that is easy to pack and eat.

A simple rice meal, sandwich, bread, crackers, fruit, or another familiar meal can be practical. These are suggestions, not PRC requirements.

void experimenting with unfamiliar food on examination day. The objective is to have enough food for the day without making your exam-day setup unnecessarily complicated.

11. Drinking Water in the Proper Container

The AgLE program instructs examinees to bring a sufficient supply of drinking water.[1]

PRC's October 2 advisory provides more specific instructions. Water should be carried in a transparent, single-use plastic bottle without labels, markings, stickers, or other material that could contain or communicate written information.[2]

The same advisory says colored tumblers may be allowed, subject to inspection.[2]

A plain transparent single-use water bottle with the label removed is the simplest option because it directly follows PRC's current guidance.

12. Prepare the Prescribed White Exam Attire

PRC specifies the attire Agriculturist examinees must wear on every examination day.[1]

Examinee

Required Attire

Male

White polo shirt with collar, without any seal, logo, or mark; decent pants or slacks

Female

White blouse or shirt with collar, without any seal, logo, or mark; decent pants, slacks, or skirt

AgLE 2026 prescribed examination attire

PRC does not expressly identify a required shoe type in the AgLE-specific instructions.[1] However, PRC also maintains a general smart-casual dress-code policy for clients and visitors.[8] To avoid unnecessary problems at the examination venue, the safer approach is to wear plain, professional closed-toe shoes.

Closed-toe shoes are presented here as a conservative exam-day recommendation, not as a separate written AgLE footwear requirement. The goal is to avoid arriving in footwear that could be considered too casual or inappropriate under PRC's broader smart-casual standard.[8]

What Shoes Are Safest for AgLE Exam Day?

Choose something plain, comfortable, and professional enough to wear throughout a long examination day. Conservative options include:

Footwear

Recommendation

Black leather or dress shoes

One of the safest choices; simple loafers, oxfords, or similar closed shoes are professional and conservative

Plain formal flats

A practical closed-toe option for examinees who prefer flat shoes

Plain black or white rubber shoes or sneakers

A reasonable practical option if clean, simple, and not flashy

Plain school-style closed shoes

A conservative option if comfortable and appropriate with your examination attire

Practical footwear choices for AgLE exam day

Comfort still matters. You may be at the testing venue for many hours, so wear a pair you have already used rather than breaking in new shoes on the morning of the exam.

What Footwear Should You Avoid?

PRC does not publish a detailed AgLE-specific footwear prohibition list.[1] However, to minimize the risk of being questioned over your attire, it is sensible to avoid footwear that is clearly casual, open, or unusually bulky.

Footwear

Why It Is Better to Avoid It

Slippers or flip-flops

Very casual and inconsistent with a conservative smart-casual examination setup

Open sandals

Open footwear may be viewed as too casual

Crocs or clog-style footwear

Casual and less conservative than ordinary closed shoes

Heavy or bulky boots

Unnecessary for an indoor examination and may attract additional attention during inspection

Flashy or highly decorated shoes

Simpler footwear is less likely to create unnecessary concerns

Footwear best avoided as a precaution

You do not need expensive formal shoes. A clean, comfortable, plain pair of closed-toe shoes is the simplest choice.

Since AgLE 2026 runs for three days, prepare your examination clothes and shoes ahead of time. If possible, use shoes you already know are comfortable enough for a full day.

13. Necessary Medicines and Hygiene or Sanitary Items

PRC allows necessary medications and hygiene or sanitary kits as part of the examination-day setup. These should be kept in transparent or clear containers or cellophanes.[1]

Bring only what you reasonably expect to need during the day. Keeping your personal items simple makes them easier to organize and inspect.

Recommended (Shopee):

14. Have a No-Bag and No-Gadget Plan

PRC prohibits bags of any kind inside the examination premises or rooms. Examples include ladies' bags, shoulder bags, attaché cases, and backpacks.[1]

PRC also specifically identifies transparent backpacks, duffel bags, eco-bags, plastic shopping bags, and similar containers among prohibited bags. The limited exception is the transparent open-top food-and-essentials tote described earlier.[2]

PRC prohibits cellphones, smartwatches, electronic earplugs, transmitters, portable computers, Bluetooth devices, and other electronic gadgets that can store, retrieve, or communicate information.[1]

PRC also states that personal belongings brought by examinees are their own responsibility and that PRC will not be answerable for items lost during the examination without fault or negligence on its part.[1]

The simplest exam-day setup is usually the safest: required documents, permitted writing materials, your approved calculator, food, water, prescribed attire, plain closed shoes, and genuinely necessary personal items.

One More Thing: Know What Time to Arrive

PRC instructs AgLE examinees to report to their assigned school or building before 6:30 A.M. on the first examination day to verify their room and seat number. Late examinees will not be admitted.[1]

PRC also instructs examinees to check their school or building assignment through its room-assignment system.[1][5]

Do not make your first trip to the testing center a race against the clock. Check the location ahead of time and allow extra travel time on December 1.
